Educational/Instructional
- After-school tutoring for guest children
- Providing life skills instruction for adult guests, i.e. effective communication, parenting, etc.
Workforce Development
- GED tutoring for adult guests
- Computer instruction for adult guests Resu

Legal
- Legal clinics for guests to understand their rights and responsibilities
- Serving as advocates for guests in court for minor traffic violations and landlord disputes
- Legal workshops for local trustee boards on issues such as organizational liability or employment law
- Providing legal staff to offer pro bono legal advice
- Assisting with development of personnel policies and organizational procedures
Financial
- Money management workshops for guest families
- Finance workshops for DMIHN board members on topics such as understanding an audit and developing a sound annual budget
- Serving on the DMIHN’s finance committee
Fundraising/Development
- Participating in fundraising events, such as a golf outing
- Serving on a committee to help organize events
- Serving on the DMIHN’s development committee
- Providing connections to other corporate entities in the local community, by arranging meetings, hosting informational events and/or signing a letter to corporate peers
Leadership Development
- Serving as a trustee on the DMIHN board of directors
- Arranging presentations for local affiliate leaders to speak before corporate employees
Public Relations/Marketing
- Assisting with the development and printing of brochures and other promotional materials
